When will you get paid?

Your payment schedule depends on the length of the rental:

30 days or less

You’ll receive your full payment 10–14 business days after the guest checks in.

31 days or more

You’ll get paid monthly, on the 10th–14th business day of each month.

  • First payment: 10–14 business days after check-in.

  • Following payments: Monthly, until the rental ends.

🔎 For example

Suppose your rental starts on November 2, 2023, and ends on January 15, 2024. Here is when you would receive each payment.

  • Payment 1: November 16 to 22.

  • Payment 2: December 14 to 21.

  • Payment 3: January 12 to 19.

How will you get paid?

Payments go straight to your bank account via direct deposit. To set this up, email a cancelled cheque (cheque specimen) to [email protected].

One cancelled cheque covers all your rentals. You only need to send a new one if you change your bank account.

How is your payment calculated?

You set a nightly price when you bid for a rental. We multiply this by the number of nights, then subtract the 12.5% service fee (which is taxable) and any other taxes.

For a full month, we use a maximum of 29 nights. Here’s an example:

  • Nightly price: $100

  • For 29 nights: $100 × 29 = $2,900

  • Service fee: $2,900 × 12.5% = $362.50

  • Payout (before other taxes): $2,900 - $362.50 = $2,537.50

When you set your price, our form shows a real-time breakdown of the service fee, taxes, and your earnings, so you know exactly what you’ll get. Want more details? Check out Understanding Service Fees.
